I watched “Gypsy“recently and was amazed by Natalie Woods’ figure. She was stunning.
Was she known for that?

Will Smith surprised me. He is a top notch actor.

Marilyn Monroe
She was actually a fine actress with great comic timing.
Loved her in Some Like it Hot & Seven Year Itch, but her best work came in Bus Stop & Niagara.

Much more than a pretty face & fantastic boobs, although they helped to be fair!

@ucme -Bus Stop is my favorite of her movies.

Eddie Murphy. When Coming To America first came out we were trying to place the parts he play. The white Jewish character flipped me out. I tried to see it, but to no avail.

@Patty_Melt -That movie cracked me up.

I enjoyed Eddie Murphy’s movies, but he doesn’t have a great range, does he.

Eddie Murphy. I used to really like the guy until he tried to pick up my girlfriend right in front of me. He grabs her by the hand and said to her let’s go for a ride in my limo. She pulls her hand back away from him and tells him to leave her alone. He has these ginormous body guards who muscle me away from stepping in. He looked at her looked at me and huffed off. What a colossal asshole!

I have heard that story before.

In retirement, I have been watching an incredible number of movies. I am surprised that several actors whom I didn’t care for, actually were pretty damn good in films I had not seen before.
These include Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Robert Ryan, and Dick Powell.

Those golden days of Hollywood are gone. That supreme, subtle type of acting is gone.

@Patty_Melt I repeated my answer about the Invisible Man :)

I always loved Meryl Streep. I admired her for staying a private person and not using her celebrity to push anyone’s agenda.

Well…..

Heath Ledger. His performance in Brokeback Mountain convinced me that he was one of the finest actors of my generation.

OMG, I loved in A Knight’s Tale.

I recently watched the 1982 movie Blade Runner. In the movie there is a replicant female with blonde hair. Very punkish and with a serious bad attitude. I wondered who the actress might be and couldn’t believe it was the prim and proper Daryl Hannah. Why on earth did she act in that dumb movie Splash? She was so good at playing a badazz.
