Do you put Christmas lights on your house during the holidays?

We had a neighbour a few years back that would spend almost 2 weeks putting lights all over his house and non stop complain about it, I asked him if he doesn’t like doing it why bother he said the kids loved it.

We have never put outside lights up, Mrs Squeeky decorates the inside of the house during the holidays FOR US, and that is it.

I do it.
Putting them up is sort of tedious, but I like the result. So it’s worth the effort. My place is not that big anyway, so I really only do the front porch and a rail that fronts the porch, and up the steps.
Plus, I put a spotlight on the wreath that is on the front door. And I have a cool Christmas tree made of twigs with a bunch of lights on it on the front porch. Looks pretty cool.

Sort of like working out. I don’t really like it, but I feel good for doing it and I like the result.

C’mon, you can tell us about all your pretty lights. No harm will be done to you.

No, like MrsSQUEEKY, just inside. Ice storm destoyed lights and gutters once.

I feel no pressure to do it.
We haven’t this year but I did put up a tiny tree because a friend talked me into it. :)

This is a tough crowd

Our lights are splendid, pretty & many!
Last year an aeroplane almost landed on our roof.
Thank goodness the pilot pulled up at the last moment, what a bleedin racket there was I tell thee.

We do.. We never actually take them down. And we keep them on year round. But it is just a single strand of small white bulbs going around the gutters. And a couple strands in the two tress flanking the porch.

We have a long driveway and you can’t really see the house from the street. So it is just a fun thing the neighbors don’t know about.

Christmas as a kid gave me my happiest childhood memories so yes I couldn’t get enough of Christmas lights despite the fact I’m almost certain that I have become agnostic.

I would decorate the woods nearby with Christmas lights if I can. Lol

We put lights on the fence around our house and in some of the trees. The house itself is kind of hidden from the street so lights on the house itself wouldn’t really be seen by anyone but us (and so we put most of the lights on the inside). My parents do it now because I make them :P But they also still like it.

We do. I’d say about a little more than half of our neighbors do too. It looks really pretty. I’m a born decorator.
