In softball why is it required that the pitcher pitches underhand?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24461points) December 21st, 2019

That bugged me, and took the fun out of the game.
What rule took the fun out of your game?
I also hated the no bunting in after the second strike in baseball.

Yes, softball rules require an underhanded pitch. Why would that bug you? It generally makes it easier to hit the ball.

@zenvelo I tired pitching underhand and I kept throwing grounders. No fun. I didn’t even get a chance to train. I was put on first base for the rest of the season.

I hated it. It was a pussy pitch. I want to hit a real pitch. I wanted to throw a real pitch.

If only there was a game that was nearly identical to softball but with overhand pitching.

@johnpowell Lol. In my city you only had softball.

You must throw the ball, not bowl it.
