The moment you awake on Christmas morning, what might be your first words/thoughts upon realising the big day has finally arrived?

Me, I roll over, put an arm around my wife, give her a gentle kiss & wish her Merry Xmas!

Uggg, this one is gonna suck.

I gotta pee. Where’s the coffee?

I meet with friends at 5 a.m. on Christmas for omelettes followed by an AA meeting. Great way to start the day.

Get working on the chicken to cook later.
Its been thawing in the fridge for a day now.
I don’t care for Turkey, so cook a chicken dinner instead with root vegetables.
Plum pudding with vanilla ice cream and fruit if desired later.

Almost over.

I had my Christmas today, sort of. My daughter came by to pick up a dresser I gave her for her first apartment. I had a Crock-Pot I bought for her wrapped and ready to go with her. Tomorrow I will be alone, and that will be when I have my Christmas mini meal.
The day after, some neighborhood boys are going to come by, do some chores for me, and watch movies. They love my dvd collection, and have some empty time off from school.
I will have what my grandma would call a piecemeal holiday.
