What happened to Paul Ryan's idea to change Medicare?

Asked by 2davidc8 (10189points) December 26th, 2019

(My understanding is that what was proposed in 2011/12 didn’t go anywhere.)
Is he abandoning his idea, or is he planning to bring it up again?
I’m talking about the idea of changing Medicare into a system of vouchers.

@chyna What I should have said was, are Republicans talking about bringing up the idea of vouchers again?

I actually haven’t heard that they were.

What happened to Paul Ryan?

Ryan got tired of kissing Trump’s butt and getting slapped in the face for doing so.

Ryan was a Republican through and through, but not they immoral, win-at-all-costs-and-lie-about-it sort of Republican. He had enough of the Trumpian criminality and left.

For my two cents, he was a sell-out. His reputation will be tainted forever because of his enabling of the Trump machine. If he came up to me today and asked for a quarter for a cup of coffee, I would tell him to go get a job.

Paul Ryan quit a year ago because he was filled with self loathing after two years of boot licking the White House.

Paul Ryan came from humble beginnings of a wealthy family. He was filled with Christian compassion for the poor people who went hungry as he wrested food out of their hands.

He is no longer in Congress.

@elbanditoroso All politicians are immoral, win-at-all-costs-and-lie-about-it sort of people.
