I don’t make NY resolutions. I have items I want to do in 2020— climb at least two 14,000 ft mountains. Go backpacking. Hike the Aspen to Crested Butte trail. Run the NY marathon.

I’m calling them goals, and my two goals are to reduce clutter and to become more organized.

@zenvelo I don’t make resolutions necessarily either. I prefer to call them goals but most people say resolution so that’s why I said both in my question =)

I have quite a few and I’ll put my top few
1. Get myself out of my comfort zone more.
2. Work on doing things for me from time to time
3. Work on seeing a therapist and actually talking about my problems instead of talking about the less important things
4. Get a car and a better job
5. Make new friends, and actually hang out with them instead of making excuses as to why I can’t
6. Try to live my life the best I can and not obsess on the past or overthink the future.

I discovered I have gained 10 more lbs this year and now have to lose 60 instead of 50.

Get published
Get half a million people to read at least one of my books. (Just wrote the first dirty part in the current work.)

To be:

1. More irresolute and not clutter myself with aspirations.
2. More appreciative of society eg. If I lost 10 pounds Yarnlady would find it for me.
3. More helpful by affording Patty more filth and salacious succour for her saga.
4. There to throw cold water over Zenvelo and other cults during the marathon.
5. Or not to be, that’s not a question it’s a musing rhetor.

Oh, and more liquorice shtick to the ranking royalty for her embouchure.

You are just too kind.

I don’t have any. I don’t plan on making any.

An impossible goal. To be a “man.” A real man….
I try, SO hard, but the man in the mirror, tells me, I’m falling short…

I’m with @jca2. I will get rid of a bunch of stuff and organize. There is no reason to keep my tax records from 1972. (Ok… Maybe I will keep those but 1973 will definitely be turned into BTUs. in my stove.)
I will try selling some stuff on ebay.
I will do my taxes!
I will do those stupid push-ups that @josie started.

Get my heart back to pumping normally and keep it that way.

I’m going to try to find my happiness, wherever or whatever that is.
And try to show the people I care about, that I care better-I have a hard time with that.

First thing is to remove all Christmas decorations before the New Year starts.
Have removed all so far and will continue this every year since I noticed that it is a custom in some county’s.
Have completed one huge goal for this year just the other day…..finally have located my Ancestor ( 1600’s) marriage record,Birth and parents record online when FINALLY France Archives had finished digitizing ‘ALL” of there holdings and perfected the website so that it recognizes from which country is researching from and translate automatically into that language..makes for easier research.

This was a major discovery of which many from my line where searching some for over more than 40 years. I had been searching for over 25 years myself.

Have finished that goal and now to move onto the next stage..researching that Ancestors parents line even further back in History before it is lost forever to damage.

Finally finish my comic book. This year! :)

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

I need to finish some projects.

Patty_Melt's avatar

@mazingerz88, reading one, or writing one? ~

mazingerz88's avatar

Writing one. Lol I think @Inspired_2write may have misunderstood. I’m not done yet. My hope is to finish it this 2020. Before my penciller and colorist abandon the project. lol

Patty_Melt's avatar

I’m trying to get a few shorts and at least two novels ready, so when I publish it won’t be one item looking lonely.

I made a resolution not to make a resolution. I never keep them anyway.
