Will I ever stop dreaming about my ex-girlfriend?

I met my ex-girlfriend 6 years ago. A month later I began having dreams about her while I slept. I do not mean sexual dreams, just random dreams.
We broke up a few years ago.
I still dream about her at least once a week. I am not thinking of her during my wakeful hours. I have not one time checked her social media in all this time.
I have no idea if she’s even alive. Still, she is always in my dreams.
