Does an itch ever disappear without scratching? (possibly NSFW)

Or much one scratch? Humor welcome. How long can you wait before scratching?

Depends how badly it needs it or what area. I guess I get it because my body is so hairy. 10 minutes perhaps?

Sometimes. Particularly when the itch is in those regions less than politely accessible,

Yes. Apply heat and an itch will go away.

If from dryness from showering too much then use a moisturizer.
Season itching does happen as the water changes and chemicals are placed in the water might cause this.
Could be an allergy?

Also, maybe a shower and some gold bond powder after could help out on the itch.

Although it is difficult to do, IF you ignore the itch, it will go away in time!!! I’ve never timed it in order to give you the exact number of minutes, but it can be done!!!

It might, but screw that!
A good old scratch can be very satisfying…look at bears up against a tree.

It was around 1994 and I really messed up my knee skateboarding. I went months without getting it looked at since I had no insurance. But eventually I went into Whitebird. Whitebird went on a first come first served basis. And there were only so many slots. So I started waiting in line around 4am. I was the second one there. There was one person before me and he had a sleeping bag. It was the summer so I just slept on the concrete while waiting.

But sleeping bag guy asked me for a smoke about 30 minutes before the doors opened. I give him one and and he says thanks and shakes my hand. Then we talk about why we are there and I say my knee, and he says scabies.

I’m not thrilled at this point. But I get in and see the doctor and get 30 days worth of anti-inflammatory samples for my knee. And I was told to not skateboard for a few months or it would not heal. I didn’t take his advice and he was right. I was in pain for years but kept skating.

But fucking hell… Scabies dude had me freaked out. Every mundane itch turned into scabies. I was crashing at my girlfriends house a few nights after the handshake and got a itch and was all “fucking scabies”.. And then I walked home. I didn’t want to spread it around.

I pretty much quarantined myself for a month. It wasn’t scabies.. But my mind was playing tricks on me.
