There are a lot of musicians past and present on my list but The Three Tenors top that. :)

I’m sad I never had a chance to see Prince.

The premieres of any of the works of the classical masters.

janbb's avatar

The Beatles at Shea Stadium.

The Who Live at Leeds (I think my Ex might have seen them.)

David Bowie anywhere.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Dutchess_III -Another one for me.
@janbb Yes! The Beatles! David Bowie as well. I did see The Who but not that particular concert,

Tropical_Willie's avatar

The Beatles at Shea Stadium also @janbb .

chyna's avatar

I wish I had seen Queen when Freddie was alive.
I saw David Bowie in his Diamond Dog tour. It was the best concert I’ve ever seen.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@chyna -Listening to Queen right now. I agree, that would’ve been great.
My SIL recently tried to give me all her Bowie albums. I told her to buy herself a turntable.

Patty_Melt's avatar

David Bowie, for sure.
Joe Satriani knows where my soul is
@chyna, me too.
Def Leppard

My concert going days are over, so alive or not, I won’t get to see my faves.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Patty_Melt -I saw Def Leppard. Deep purple opened for them.You didn’t miss much, IMO

seawulf575's avatar

Let’s see…I’ve seen Genesis, Blue Oyster Cult, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Def Leppard, Black Oak Arkansas, the Cars, Styx, REO Speedwagon, the Allman Bros, the Knack, Eddie Money, J. Geils, Todd Rundgren, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Jimmy Buffet and probably a few more. I think I would have liked to have seen ELO, Queen, Led Zepplin, and the Eagles. I would also like to have seen the Grateful Dead, but only for the atmosphere!

YARNLADY's avatar

Yanni, Live at the Acropolis (or The Egyptian Pyramids)

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575 -I saw Blue Oyster Cult by accident. The crowd yelled,“More Cowbell!” lol

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@YARNLADY What an awesome place to see show!

Concerts I would love to have gone to were all in the 80’s. I need to borrow Doc’s DeLorean.

Brian1946's avatar

I’ve seen Rod Stewart 3 times. I’ve seen Jeff Beck once, but never with Stewart. One of my all-time favorite tunes and guitar works, is their collaboration on People Get Ready.

I think they finally reunited for a concert at Hollywood Bowl in September, 2019, but I shined it on. If my wife had expressed some enthusiasm about going, I would have gone for it.

I was in the US Navy in August ‘69. We were ported in Newport, RI. I wanted to go to Woodstock, but I had f****n duty that weekend. I just Googled the driving distance from Newport to Woodstock, and it’s over 220 miles one-way. In retrospect, I’m hunky-dorky with not having gone.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I saw Jeff Beck with BB King.

I was at Live Aid Wembley July 13th 85’ & so was lucky enough to see tons of class acts in one fantastic hit.
Queen, Bowie, U2, etc.
One I missed out on though was Depeche Mode, just hasn’t happened yet…still time though.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I saw that on tv! Was that you waving at the camera?

ucme's avatar

It may well have been my tight 18yr old arse ;-}

KNOWITALL's avatar

@seawulf I’d have loved to see the Dead! Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Bob Marley, Elvis, Sinatra.

filmfann's avatar

My sisters had seats 11 rows away from the Beatles. I begged to go, but was deemed too young.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@mazingerz88 :)
@Brian1946 – I heard Rod Stewart puts on a great show.
@Patty_Melt -BB KIng!
@ucme -Great! Who sounded best?
@filmfann -Aw! :(

SEKA's avatar

Yes, Live Aid

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@SEKA -Wonderful! Who was your favorite act?

SEKA's avatar

I was only 3 at the time, but I would have loved to see Queen live as well as most of the other artist who performed that day. I’ve watched a lot of it on youtube, but experiencing it live must of been magic

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@SEKA Three! What a great first concert if that’s what it was!

ucme's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille I know everyone says so but Queen knocked it out the park!
It was then we all knew we were part of something we were going to remember forever.

SEKA's avatar

^ That is why I would have loved to have been there for that specific performance. Sadly, it has become one of those “once in a lifetime” events and I’ll never have the opportunity to even come close except for youtube or the movie. sighs

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ucme -What is your favorite Queen song?

chyna's avatar

^Thats like asking who your favorite child is!

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@chyna -Or favorite dog? :)
Somebody to Love is my favorite.There are a lot of good ones for sure.
This reminds me of my chiropractor
Love of my Life is nice too. Keep Yourself Alive is what goes through my head when I drive o visit my sister.
Yep, there are a lot. :)
Don’t Stop Me Now

ucme's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille Somebody to Love is my favourite Queen song & I see yours too, which is slightly bugging me you got that in before me to be honest :D
Best live though, at least in that gig, was Bo Rap, Freddy owned that stage.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ucme I have seen that on tv.
I remember seeing videos of them on tv when I was a kid.
Why didn’t harlequin jumpsuits ever catch on??

ucme's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille I know right!
Getting back to Somebody to Love, I love the entire sound of that song, great bass & it shows off his fab vocal range, those harmonies are to die for too.

ucme's avatar

@SEKA Forgive me, I just read through the thread & saw your posts.
I’d have happily perched your 3yr old little self on my shoulders that day, you could then have seen yourself all these years later on telly with a strangely permed but kind teenager :D

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ucme I agree!
Now getting back to sensible outfits…where would you wear that jumpsuit?

ucme's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille I mean, where would I not wear the damn thing?
It’s funny, every new year eve we have a dress up party with family & close friends.
Year before last was 80’s themed & I went as Freddy, no jumpsuit though as small children were present :D
I went in stonewashed jeans & white vest topped off with fake tache, I hit “full camp” after only a couple of shandys.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Bob Seager.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ucme -Ha ha! :)
@Dutchess- I think he retired only a few years ago.

Caravanfan's avatar

I would have loved to see Led Zeppelin live, and Pink Floyd when Roger was still with them.

Dutchess_lll's avatar

I think he.retired just this year @lucillelucillelucille. I’ll go look.
Anyway I’m thinking back.to the 70s.
Also…OMG… The Eagles.

Dutchess_lll's avatar

He announced his farewell tour in September 2018.[6].(Wikipedia.)

SEKA's avatar

@ucme Thank you for your kind offer. That would have made the event twice as special! In all honesty, I doubt that I would have found Live Aid as exciting at 3 as I would now. I’m looking for a time machine where the adult me can travel back to experience the thrill of experiencing Freddie live. He was a force to e reckoned with at the time

ucme's avatar

@SEKA I’m more or less the same, I was buzzed with the experience but often feel I’d have got so much more out of it now rather than at 18, you know, young & dumb kinda!

Save me a seat on that time machine okay? :-)

Patty_Melt's avatar

@SEKA, he was a force alright. I always admired the way he could demand everyone’s attention with apparently no effort.
Twice in my life I knew the feeling of that power, but on a much smaller scale.
He could wrap tens of thousands around his little finger.

chyna's avatar

@Seka please save me a seat on your time machine! Play on words intended.

seawulf575's avatar

I’ve been keeping it to rock, but honestly, I’d like to have seen Garth Brooks too.

SEKA's avatar

@ucme and @chyna I promise that if I ever find that time machine that there will be a Q here “Would you like to travel back to Live Aid with me?” We will all go back to get our thrill. I do believe that it will be even better with all of us excited over the prospect

The one thing that still fascinates me s that he’s been dead for over 20 years and he is still mesmerizing 10’s of thousands of people.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575 -Because you’re shameless ?
I like his cover of that song

seawulf575's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille No, while it is sometimes true I am shameless, it is more because of my friends

jca2's avatar

Led Zep.

Rick James.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575 -:)
@jca2 – He’s alright! He’s alright with meeeeeee…. heyee! ok I need to stop lol
