How do you define true love? And which fictional and/or real life romantic stories, novels and films do you know illustrate that kind of love?

To me true love is far deeper than a mere feeling. It is commitment (for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health). It’s a choice. It’s self sacrifice. It’s just plain hard, but I have a friend and companion for life. It’s my marriage, and we are coming up on our 43rd year.

I can’t name a story right now, except my own.

Wuthering Heights is one of the best as well as Jane Eyre. They show the fine line between love and hate, add in moscommunication and human weakness, it’s complicated not easy.

The main characters go through trials and tribulations together and yet grow closer to each other.
