I have, I do and will continue to do so until the end of time.
Ignore a goose and it will fuck you up. Ignore a boater who is waving in distress and trouble will find you like an angry goose that you were rude to

@lucillelucillelucille This I am pleased to hear.
Geese are evil buggers though, been surrounded by dozens of them several times at the park while tossing bread at them.
Canada geese are well behaved, but those white honking psychos have murder in mind.

@ucme-Canadian geese are not wonderful.
I’ve been chased by them before and it is unpleasant. Swans are worse though.Bigger and badder.
People around here feed them as they like their docks covered in sh!t.
I think it’s just a fad.

@lucillelucillelucille I find the reverse to be true, never had a bad experience with any goose other than the white ones.
Swans look majestic & appear cool but are hiding their true nature, which is to break your bones.

@ucme- I have a few photos of angry waterfowl but can’t post.

2008 my then seven year old daughter and I were feeding geese in Reno. We were feeling silly and by accident got them to say Barack in order to get fed bread. Passers by thought they were going nuts because it was just crystal clear. A couple of exerwalkers stopped to comment. We confirmed that we had coached them, but it actually took only a couple of tries and the whole goose militia was joining in.

Having been stationed at Annapolis, and spending hours upon hours every week going up and down the river with midshipmen, the boat waving is not within me. When my daughter and I toured much of the states by train we did a lot of waving as we passed through towns.

I’m a minimalist animalist : I like to goose people.

Both habits may sound fine until the numbers and frequency render such practices pointless. I could care less about either. I mean the geese here are passing overhead skimming the roofs of shopping centers going to & from bay marshlands & city parks. You might as well point at the pigeons, and wave at people in cars or busses. I will sometimes wave back at the tourists & will wave back at any kid anywhere.

I wave at geese when I’m on a boat.

We have a somewhat large property for being in the suburbs. Over an acre. There are cookie-cutter houses a stones throw away. But we have a wild ass creek that runs through half of the property and ducks do a lot of breeding here.

We actually can’t do much with half the property since it is a protected wetland but my sister owns it. Weird.

But I like to go down there and feed the ducks. My sister buys massive 50 pound bags of duck feed.

That would work wonderfully well for a goose hunter. People in boats would not like to be pointed at.
