Questioning the why of it?

At the moment, what’s forefront is the idea of suffering a long, slow and very painful illness.

I wasn’t asking you..I was stating that is what I would ask.

A quote attributed to Gen. George Patton…

Courage is fear holding on a minute longer.

Being put to the test is finding yourself inside that minute.

@josie -and you have, haven’t you? :)

Being lied to.
Just the possibility that someone I love would do that can put me to the edge.

The wife cooking dinner coupled with her asking if the apron she has on makes her thighs look big.
I’m in a world of hurt right then!

Having to pull a gun on somebody, knowing I might have to kill them.

We are tested at some point, and sadly some ignore the challenge. I’ve been walking the street, minding my own business and then there I was faced with looking away or doing something. I never looked away. Time for the truth to come out. When I was a kid and was being bullied nobody came to help me. The so-called monitors never seemed to see this was happening. They only saw when I fought back. I’d get into trouble. Nobody asked the logical question of why would he attack 3 or more boys.Flash forward: I got older and larger and I was presented with the test, of doing nothing to help someone in need or to walk away. I made the personal choice to do something. Now it’s as much a part of me as breathing.

@RabidWolf -Good on you! My hub is much the same way
