I’m a lucky one! I’ve been trimming my own hair for ten years. When your hair is long you don’t need a hairdresser every few weeks.

Just longer, not a problem. I have all the barrettes and ties and stuff to keep it under control.

I know a lot of men, though, who are totally freaking out about not getting haircuts.

Oh, I answered having overlooked the word “Ladies” in the title somehow.

I don’t usually get my hair cut more than once every 6–9 months anyway.

@canidmajor As someone who thinks men who think they need super-short hair all the time are silly (and some of them, extra annoying to males who don’t), I’m quietly amused at the thought of millions of them “totally freaking out” about no access to barbers.

I ask this as my wife has today dyed her hair a deep purple!!
She always wear it short & so it is growing a little longer.
The change of colour though…you could have knocked me down with a feather :D

I shave my head & so no difference for me.

I’ll try to buy some hair color the next time I go shopping. I need to cut it again so I’ll have my husband do it tomorrow probably. Aside from that I barely brush it some days. If I am doing Zumba I put it back in a ponytail.

I’m fine. I already color my hair at home as it’s a fraction of the cost compared to a salon (ordered my color online as beauty supply is closed) and I give myself trims regularly and have all my life. I am past due for a professional haircut, but my hair is very long so it’s not like it’s noticeably grown out in some awkward way.

My hair is normally colored by a colorist, so now I have dark roots, which are not that bad yet. The length is trimmed every few months, but not much difference, honestly, if I miss another few months. I have bangs which I give a little trim to every couple of months on my own, not too short, just so they’re not halfway down my face. I’m not in a particular panic about my hair as I’ve been working from home. If I had to return to work, no biggie, everyone knows my real hair color anyway (dark) so I don’t care if they see the roots.

OMG! I don’t know how to handle it. THere is no possible way I could cut my own hair, or just in general go a month without a trip to the SALON!!! Basically on the brink of death over here.

I’m just kidding, I think it’s funny how many of the rednecks in these videos are chanting about “Open up my barber shop!” or “We wanna go to the hair salon!” Is this a joke? I can barely believe it’s real. I mean, I know I am lower maintenance than most people with my hair especially but do they really think that’s the most important thing? They can’t have their wife or whoever cut their damn hair? Man, it is not rocket science. I’ve been really learning the tricks of the trade with dry shampoo and my hair looks better than ever. I’m not sure how much a trip to the “barber salon” can help those mullets anyhow as far as those folks are concerned. Big eye roll
