If you are familiar with two or more of these organizations, how is their mission different (contrasted), in your experience: YWCA, Girl Scouts/Guides, and Girls Inc.?

The Girl Scouts in my area seem to be in decline but Girls Inc are becoming more relevant, especially in minority communities. Girls Inc are selling produce grown on local farms. Both seem to have ties to the YWCA.

In spite of the fact that the Girl Scouts have been attracting minority causes and social justice causes for almost fifty years, the Girl Scouts still seem dominated by the Suburban Middle Class, though deal with image and self esteem issues girls face

I also think the decision of so many girls to join the Boy Scouts had led to the demise of pro-girl youth organizations.
