Is there some sort of a gambling angle to make money on the number of COVID cases?

Yahoo Finance News (and various other site) keep an ongoing and changing count of the number of COVID Cases both in the US and worldwide. See at the top.

Since these are raw numbers and can’t be manipulated, is there some way to bet on them? Either the “total US” or the “change” number?

It seems like there ought to be a way to bet on the increment.

Why not? Plenty of people are making bushels of money off this crisis. And all it’s costing is quiet streets and an excess of obituary notices.
