Bagels in San Francisco- Help!

Asked by dianalauren (251points) September 2nd, 2008

Is House of Bagels the only place in San Francisco to get a real bagel? A real bagel is defined by boiling… Noah’s Bagels doesn’t count. At all. Help.

yes. House of bagels is the only place to get a real bagel in the bay area. For years I owned a Jewish deli and I’ve tried them all. No one else even comes close.

I was laughing my ass off at this question’s title in the list, as it made me think of some Godzilla-like bagel stomping through SF – “aaaargh, help, Bagels in San Fransisco!”

Come over here to New York and get yourself some real bagels. Pick up some pizza while you are here, too!

Actually, I have found an excellent bagel in SF, and it’s really improved my quality of life. I think they’re called “Jeffry’s Bagels” and they deliver to a number of small places daily.

You can try them and find out more my going to the little health foods store at the corner of Haight and Fillmore. That’s where I get them, and I must say, I think they’re phenomenal.
