Ads on Fluther?

Just opened a question from 6–16-20 and above the details was a window that read “Assure you are carrying legally.” with a link. I didn’t follow it. I have never seen an ad on fluther, but don’t know what else to call this unless it was a hack. I assume it is gun control related. It was completely unrelated to the question.

Were you logged in at the time? There shouldn’t be any advertisements at all if you are logged in. If you are not logged in, there should only be ads if you are on the mobile version of the site. If you would send me a PM with a link to the question, I’d be happy to look into it further.

You won’t see any questions posted on 6–16-20 for another 15 days.

Did you perhaps mean 5–16-20 or 6–16-19?

I logged out, went to https://i.fluther.com/ , disabled my ad blocker, and I didn’t see any ads.

I meant to type 6–1-20. It is possible I was not logged in at the time. I was on a mobile device, so that probably explains it. Thanks.
