What was George Floyd being arrested for? (P&R)

Supposedly passing a counterfeit $20 dollar that he might not have known was fake.

He wasn’t initially. The police were called to investigate a fraud claim (bad check, counterfeit money). When they arrived, they went to Floyd (who was in or on his car) to question him.

Passing counterfeit money.

It didn’t warrant death.

I think that’s the point.

Essentially for being black!

Some of us were talking about this on another site. Many of us have used counterfeit money unknowingly and NEVER had the police called on us. They use their pen, tell you they can’t accept it. You take to your bank, they refund you and send fakes tp FBI local office. Done.
Supposedly it was store policy there, which seems odd for one twenty dollar bill.

When that happened to me a few years ago, the store confiscated the twenty, and I filled out a three question form. That was it.
