What makes your best friend interesting?

I’ve known her for over 30yrs.

I have two best friends. One I’ve known for 66(!) years and we can always pick up where we left off – whenever that was. She is different from me in some ways but we can be totally honest with each other and may grumble when we are travelling together but there is never any bitterness. The other I’ve known for 40 years and we raised our kids together. She is a great and active listener and also very honest.

Both of them come from a similar cultural background to mine which makes for shortcuts in understanding. Oddly enough, they are not related but both have the same last name.

I’m always making new friends as well but I would say these are the two best.
