How Do You Get into European Journalism Grad School with a Low GPA?

Asked by drivegg (102points) June 18th, 2020

Hi, I am an expat who wants to apply to some grad schools in Germany, France, and Belgium to get training in journalism (I want to change careers). Hopefully for this fall. I’m worried I won’t get in anywhere, so I’m also considering England (more expensive.)

I have an English Literature BA from a US university, but a low GPA. I have a varied work history (teaching preschool/English, Data Analysis in IT) and I’m not sure how to dress up my application to get in. I was told the motivation letter is important, and the advisers just told me to apply online.

Do you have any tips on how to make myself more relevant and make it likelier for me to get in? Do you have any experience applying to grad school in Europe?
