They found a body floating in the water and are trying to ID it.

What is article 1?
I am in Canada.
Maybe a link to information or a brief description might help others understand too?

Police are trying to identify where a scalp that was found in a local pond came from. Don’t hear that one very often.

@canidmajor Historically, human trials of vaccines are usually run in poor and impoverished communities of color. The way they spin it as them doing South Africa a favor is a load of crock.

If you look at John Hopkins death rate per capita, South Africa has one of the lowest death rates per capita (#16 out of 17).

But there would be more backlash if they used humans as guinea pigs in the UK (#1), Canada (#5), or US (#7).

Don’t get me wrong. There is an absolute need for a vaccine. But to spin it as they are doing them a favor makes this article seem pretty disingenuous.

An interesting paper on this:

But, you gotta admit, it sparked your interest, therefore it meets the criteria of being an “article of interest”! :-)

And the second link of yours is especially interesting, thanks for posting that.
