Like no longer have segregated washrooms for men and women?
Or robot wars with artificial intelligence?

Humor welcome.

Criticizing the president. Just for an example. Like the lèse-majesté law in Thailand, which makes it a criminal offense to insult the monarch.

Anyone might have said we could never have a law like that. I’d say the odds have changed.

Great example. God, the idea that the President cannot be criticized, even mocked, would have been abhorrent to the Founding Fathers. But now, if certain folks had their way, anything less than dutiful worship of Glorious Leader would be considered an act of treason.
