When people leave Trump 2020 mock dollar bills as tips or put them in tip jars, should that not count as paying with counterfeit currency?

It’s only illegal to use fake money to cover a bill that one is legally obliged to pay. There is no legal obligation to leave a tip in the US, so there can be no crime in putting a fake bill into a tip jar.

One of the many reasons we should pay servers a living wage and do away with counting tips as part of their wages.

It’s really no different than leaving a gum wrapper in a tip jar.

It’s ok, I don’t think you’re used to dealing with America’s poor and dumb.
Some Americans see any job that isn’t a doctor, lawyer, or hedge fund manager, or blue collar industry worker as that person having not worked hard enough.

Clearly anyone standing behind a counter or serving food hasn’t worked hard enough and doesn’t deserve a tip because they’re probably gonna use it for drugs anyway.

It’s exactly the same as putting used toilet paper in the tip jar.
It’s worthless, vile, and has a piece of shit on it.

Whoever did it probably has no clue that it is insulting to those who must work for tips. I’m hoping it was some mischievous 4–7 year old.

Paying for what? If it isn’t legal tender, it isn’t pay for anything. If you want to be insulting, leave a penny.

I agree with @seawulf575 and @filmfann, that’s littering.
And if the same person didn’t also put some real currency for a tip into the jar then they’re just another Trumpanzee with a parasitic view of the rest of us.
