Do we have a modern-day treatment for broken ribs?

Do you have any updates on treatment for broken ribs?

When I broke my ribs 20 years ago all the doctors could do is perscribe Tylenol 3.

No. The Mayo Clinic recommends restricting activities, icing regularly and taking pain medication. What has changed is compression is no longer recommended.
