Here is a simple tip, which you may find obvious, but not everyone here follows it. If you have a long question or answer, break it into separate paragraphs, with a line between them. It makes it so much easier to read.

If you are conservative then be prepared to be ganged up on because this is a very liberal group of folks. But it’s all good fun. Generally there isn’t much name calling. I love liberals when they behave. HA! They don’t seem to like me all that much though. HA!

Be sure to check out the formatting syntax.

Responding to someone by quoting is often helpful. For example….

Welcome to the site.

The user base is extremely small: about 40 active users. A lot of us have been around for a very long time and have made friends here. I’ve met a few of the people in real life. I’m friends with a number on Facebook.

The site exists solely at the kindness of the founders. They have moved on to other jobs. There are no active improvements being done to the site. What you see is what you get.

We have some very intelligent users, and I’m sometimes surprised at the detail of the answers to questions that were far beyond my areas of expertise.

When you write, pay attention to grammar and such. We take proper English seriously.

If you write something that the moderators pull and ask you to improve, don’t take it personally. Every single user here has had stuff modded. The mods are volunteers. This site has no paid staff.

I hope you like it here.
