From the snow pea pod, how do I get a seed to grow a plant? Do I need to dry it? Inside or outside the pod?

Was it picked green, like for eating?

yes, off of my neighbor’s vine.

Ask your neighbor how and when he planted his vines. Traditionally, in the NE at least, gardners plant peas on St. Patrick’s Day.Tomorrow I will also ask my sister, who is a master gardner, what she uses for seeds.

I’m afraid it might not have matured enough to have developed a useful seed. Some beans need to ripen on the vine and then dry.
