Have you ever gotten a banana split with three dips of various flavors of ice cream?

I had one in Universal Studios Florida, when I first visited there over about 25 years ago. I ate it with my mother and my sister. The price was right, compared to buying three separate ice creams for us. Still, I think it was too much to finish, even with the three of us having it.

I love ice cream & I love bananas, so I jumped at the chance to have a banana split!!!
I was on a date back in the 60’s when my date asked IF I’d like to try one. I couldn’t wait to try it. It was a scoop each of chocolate, vanilla, & strawberry sitting on top of a bed of banana & smothered in whipped cream. I learned that as much as I love ice cream & bananas that the banana split was sickening!!! It was way too sweet & way too much to eat. To this day I love homemade banana ice cream, but I’ve NEVER craved a banana split ever again!!!

@Aster I have had a banana split with three flavors of ice cream. You can still get them at Baskin Robbins.

And, at BR you can choose the three flavors, so not just chocolate, vanilla, strawberry.

@LadyMarissa At Baskin Robbins you can also get a Banana Royale, just two scoops/flavors of ice cream with a banana, and you can limit the toppings. I like no whip, just some hot fudge and some nuts on top.

I haven’t had one, but I’ve seen them many times.

@zenvelo Back when I ate mine, the local ice cream shop was the very first place in town to offer banana splits. Back then you didn’t have options so you got it like they made it. It wasn’t until years later that Burger King started offering to ”make it your way” & as they say the rest is history.

That nasty banana split has left me with NO desire to try another. Plus my sleepy little town doesn’t even have a BR & the closest one of over an hour away!!!

Isn’t a scoop each of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry the standard everywhere unless you request otherwise?

I can’t eat more than one scoop of ice cream.

What a terrible disability. You should be entitled to a handicapped license plate and disability benefits!!!!

LOL! I’ve often thought the same thing about my directional disability. It’s bad. I mean really bad.

I don’t think I have ever eaten more than one scoop of ice cream either, but I can eat two pieces of cake with no problem.

One scoop of ice cream divided between two slices of cake should be ruled a felony. And those advocating such deemed worthy of rigorous prosecution.
