Are there any programs or extensions that you can use to simulate an environment for your computer audio?

For example, in Windows 7, in the Audio Settings, there was a list of environments you could pick from, for example, auditorium, hallway, etc., and your audio would sound like it is being affected by those environments.

If you use VLC (free, open source) audio player, you can go to this page to work with different sound environments. Further, VLC itself has various third-party add-ons.
