If I were to describe godzilla, how would I?

Asked by idktimmyturner (333points) March 20th, 2021

(My friend wants to create a story about godzilla being the “good guy”. So maybe by knowing what he looks like, acts like, etc.. might help her reverse the bad things into good things.)

After the first couple of Japanese monster movies, where Godzilla was the H-bomb holocaust incarnate, Godzilla frequently then WAS the good guy. Most Godzilla movies are more like the Children’s film festival than the nuclear destruction of cities and mass extermination of populations,

Godzilla defended Earth from much worse monsters, loved children, and saved people.

Of course, if you want to make Godzilla cuddly, make him purple / pink in colour and go around singing ” I – love – YOU; YOU – love – Me. We’re – one – hap – py fam – il -y…”

In one of the recent Godzilla remakes – 2014 – Godzilla is portrayed as helpful to mankind by fighting and killing the flying giant insect.

Almost all the other recent ones portray Godzilla as a destructive monster.

What do I think of Godzilla conceptually? Resembles the personality of my third-grade teacher.

Remember “If I were to describe a rainy day in a story, how would I describe it exactly?”

Reread the answers and apply them to this question. I don’t think anyone will just write descriptions when you ask for them. That’s a huge part of learning how to write. {8^)

Another suggestion is for her to watch old Godzilla movies.

I don’t know how you would describe Godzilla, or to whom, but I might describe Godzilla to someone who had never heard of him (if I were ever to meet such a person) as:

Imagine someone is a rubber dinosaur suit that is like an upright Stegosaurus with a head a bit more like that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, who’s supposed to be taller than tall buildings and amphibious and had radioactive jet breath. He’s nearly invulnerable and sometimes goes on a rampage and does lots of damage to cities, but is really also a beloved hero who saves more people by fighting other giant monsters. Many films have been made about him, mostly in Japan, which tell different versions of his story and what he is like.
