Have we as Americans, lost our collective minds?

Asked by Nomore_lockout (7592points) September 29th, 2021

I Just saw a pic on Face Book, of some dude in South Carolina, ordering food in some restaurant, with a rocket launcher strapped to his back, and packing two six guns as well. WTF?

Concealed?

There is something deeply and seriously wrong, with a society where people can run around doing every day tasks with a rocket launcher strapped to their back, and yet be so vehemently opposed to a woman getting an abortion. Thus shit is seriously sick.

I think someone should ignite the rocket launcher while it is pointed to his head.

Nomore_lockout's avatar

@rebbel No, strapped to his back right in the open. Also a gun belt with two pistols. Also worn openly.

Gotta think he can show you his 3rd grade diploma, but not a COVID-19 vaccination card.

I keep wondering if some of these people are being paid.

Nomore_lockout's avatar

@JLeslie Well now you’re sounding a bit conspiratorial. Sounds like that theory that (deceased) lefty Texas comedian Bill Hicks, is actually being paid by some shadowy Government entity, to impersonate far right radio shock jock Alex Jones, the idea being Jones is so out there he will make people turn on conservatives and make the Far Right look ludicrous.

Certain people are too dang scared. Need major firepower to feel safer.

Schools are banning backpacks so pupils can not smuggle in guns.
You tell me.

JLeslie's avatar

@Nomore_lockout Oh, I definitely have some conspiracy theory tendencies.

No such thing as a collective mind.
But maybe that guy has.

@JLeslie I go into Kroger and Food Lion in an open carry state and everywhere like .380s and Glock 9mm; on any day of the week, male and female.

JLeslie's avatar

@Tropical_Willie I remember my first time in Texas! Racks of guns on the back of trucks. I couldn’t believe it!

KNOWITALL's avatar

I believed it as soon as I saw Carolina. Ha!

Is this your first time on FB? You will have a heart attack if you know the shit I have to witness.

Way too broad statement. There are now and always have been hundreds if not thousands of crazy people in this country, and most likely every other country in the world.
The best antidote to that way of thinking is to stop obsessing on the bad news and get involved in the good news – volunteer
