Not rude as long as you don’t ask while they are busy or just before closing.

Don’t mess with the people who handle your food.

It’s not rude but don’t be surprised if it squawks and runs out the door before you can eat it.

It isn’t rude so much as inappropriate. There is no fresh chicken at a KFC. It is all frozen.

I thought you were going Vegan and buying rotisserie chicken (and freeing it) or buying from one of the mail order food delivery services.

Why are you going into KFC?

Nomore_lockout's avatar

Because it’s finger lickin’ good!

kritiper's avatar

Yes, since all of the chicken is fresh, relatively speaking. It’s as fresh as it can get.
(You realize, of course, they don’t kill the chickens on site??)

@elbanditoroso I’m just thinking out loud. Not committing to any one idea. Freezing rotisserie chickens didn’t work out for now. I only want to try vegan foods and not to be vegan, unless everything works out and I enjoy the food, prices, and nutrition. I found a new restaurant from Skip the Dishes that I enjoyed having pork skewers for cheap. Just exploring the different foods in my city. I ordered KFC because my credit card was maxed out and they took debit. I got paid so I can buy groceries and explore new restaurants when my transfer clears.

This is funny! It reminds me of how sometimes in a bakery or in the bakery section of a supermarket, I’ll overhear someone ask the clerk, referring to a baked good, “is it fresh?” Like, what do they think the clerk is going to say? “No?” Of course the answer is going to be “yes.”

From refrigerator to breading to fryer to box must take 30 minutes soooo . . . . .

@jca2 When at a nightshift at a convivence store with hot food I told the truth that the chicken was cooked at noon.

In days gone by, you could go into donut shops, there was almost always a shelf of “Day Old Donuts – Half Price”.

Of course not!

The more important question to ask at a KFC isn’t “is it fresh” but rather “is it chicken?”

Inspired_2write's avatar

No, Not if they have hours old chicken heating.
Saw behind the scenes in some resturants where supposed to be freshly cooked but rather was left over from morning rush.
KFC ( some) do have diried out chicken that they try to sellin the evening to unsuspecting people who order in delivery..I think that sometimes they cook too much expecting lots of customers then are left with leftovers when it does not happen.

No it is not rude to ask unless there really busy or it is just before closing time if not closing time.

Why is everybody always picking on the Colonel? Go get you a 20 dollar fill up, and forget about it. : ) You can’t even fill up with gas for twenty dollars any more.
