How do i tell my boyfriend the Netflix account he payed for is not working?

Asked by alisaaaaaa (4points) December 20th, 2021

My boyfriend payed for a Netflix account for me to use without him. The payment is not processing to his account meaning that he doesn’t have enough money to pay for it. I will tell him to cancel it but I don’t know how to say without him being embarrassed. Should I just not tell him?

Just tell him. Maybe he used the wrong account or something. But he should know.

Yes, you have to tell him otherwise your relationship will not be healthy. Just tell him gently and tactfully.

“The Netflix account you paid for is not working.”

I think @Caravanfan summed it up nicely.

I like @janbb‘s suggestion of being gentle, and I agree you should tell him.

Yes, tell him. Take a very naive unassuming approach.

A simple “I tried to watch something on Netflix and I couldn’t get logged in. I am not sure if its logged in right. Can you help? ”

You can tell him that it’s not a big deal so he doesn’t feel like he is depriving you of it.

You can also check to see if his account can support another log in. Depends on the plan that he might have: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/24926
