Fax machine recommendation?

Criteria: relatively fast, like no more than 3 second per page scanning; moderate duty, like 300 pages per day, reliable; priced just a few hundreds possible?

I second that, at least as far as the manufacturer Brother is concerned.

Get ONLY a plain paper model.
