What do you think CDC's new mask guidelines will be, supposedly coming this week?

Wear them in public transport, in airports and airplanes.
All the rest voluntarily.

Optional. We’ve been at this going on 3 years, time to let us decide for ourselves mask or not. You want to wear one? Have at it, I’ll pass.

Wear whenever socially possible.

They will still recommend using masks to protect yourself and others for high risk groups.

Masks optional unless conditions change. Maybe they will add the unvaccinated should still wear masks, but that’s pretty much a joke. The unvaccinated for the most part are the least likely to wear a mask.

I think the CDC will recommend using tests more to protect each other. Tests before big gatherings for example.

I predict around the end of March conditions will change and they will be telling people to mask up again.

I suspect they will make it easy to avoid masks. It’s an election year and the party in power is in horrible standing with the public. Being able to claim they got rid of masks would be a plus for them. And the CDC is a government organization and as such gets political pressure brought to bear on them.
