The one that immediately comes to mind is Lewis Carroll‘s novels like “Alice in Wonderland.” The guy was an academic and logician and made significant scholarly contributions to mathematics and logic. While his novels are whimsical, they are filled with puzzles, logical absurdities, and other thought experiment-related inclusions.
