If ghosts were actually real, what venues and places would you expect to be measurably haunted on a large scale?

Asked by ragingloli (51966points) May 30th, 2022

Considering that ghosts are just disembodied humans, who inherited and distilled their wants and desires to their spectral forms.
For example:
Cinemas, concerts, porno shoots, the bedrooms of celebrities, etc.

General r=theory on ghost I they haunt places where their life was abruptly and unexpectedly curtailed. So I would venture the most haunted places to be prisons, battlefields, certain cruel hospitals and institutions.

I’ve heard of haunted insane asylums (that are now closed) and prisons (that are likewise closed). I had a basketball playing ghost in a house I used to live in. I think it was a child named Ricky who accidentally died in the house. I suspect that if ghosts are real, they would, as @zenvelo suggests, haunt places where their life was severely changed.

Definitely they’d choose the United States of America to dwell in.
As they do already now.
Haunted hice are predominantly found in the USA.
I wonder why….

Places to which people were attached or fixated on. So in general homes, places of particular suffering or trauma or terrible relationships. Insane asylums, certainly. Also places where people made unwise spiritual moves, such as curses and some kinds of magic and/or off-the-rails Christiany misbehavior.

You’d expect lots of ghosts would haunt the battlefields where they met their end but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Perhaps they don’t like the wind and the wide-open spaces. I don’t know of any authenticated large-scale hauntings anywhere. On the contrary ghosts are usually shy and solitary by nature. They seem almost apologetic in manner and retreat through doorways that no longer exist rather than meet with a living man. Or they simply fade into the dimness at the far end of an unlit room.

I would expect them to be near water – specifically near the Pacific or Atlantic – so we would have ghosts on the coasts.

They’d be everywhere.
There’s probably just a mirror/alternate dimension where the dead walk around like everyone else.

I read something on a paranormal blog, about a tourist at the Normandy landing site who swears he saw a German soldier and American soldier in WWII uniforms walking down a beach talking like they were best buds and never fought each other there. He thought they were movie extras or reenactors so he shouted hello to them. They both disappeared in front of his eyes. So who knows?

Auschwitz nazi bootcamp, out of all the places on earth that could be haunted Auschwitz is the most likely and probably the most haunted. F### HITLER, HE’S A HORRIBLE PIECE OF S###!

I’d expect to find shoals of them swimming around shipwrecks.
