I used to smoke. I quit 17 years ago. I don’t remember ever getting high from cigarettes. There were times they made me lightheaded, but that is not the same thing as being high.

Cigarettes no, slightly nauseous and light-headed.
Funny cigarettes yes, I freaked out. :)

My first cigarettes gave me a dizzy feeling, not quite a high, and it was over very quickly, over much faster than a snort of cocaine.

I don’t smoke due to the experience of my first cigarette.
I was in the 4th grade. My Father caught me.
He simply said “so you want to smoke, here is a green old cigar, smoke it”.
I got sick on one puff. Never smoked again.

I inhaled the smoke of a cigarette once. That was when I was in second grade. I thought that I was going to die. Never again would I do that. Including marijuana smoke.

No. The second one however burned my throat and gave me a violent coughing fit. Never touched those sticks again.

I never smoked a cigarette but I did smoke a cigar. It made me puke.

When I smoked a cigarette once or twice, it did nothing. Both my parents were chain smokers, so my body was already acclimated. I didn’t like the taste, or the “look” of smoking and never took it up.

No it did not give me a high and I will give you all a good laugh and tell you what did happen when I took my first puff of a cigarette.

I my first cigarette was a Woodbine. I bought a pack of 5 with my 1st pay packet on my way home on my bike I lit one up and took a good deep puff right into my lungs.

It did not give me a ‘high’ it simply made me extremely dizzy and faint.

When I did this I was riding my bike along a canal path and I was so dizzy I lost control of my bike and ended up in the canal, bike as well.

So my first puff of a cigarette got me a soaking in the canal and hours of hard work getting my bike on the road again.

You would think that was enogh to make stop smoking befoire I started but I’m afraid it did’nt.
