Friction Hinge or Gas Strut Solutions for 250 lb in?

I am designing a carriage that needs to moved 5 degrees in any direction. I have some friction hinges in house but they aren’t strong enough. Any suggestions for vendors or solutions for 250 lb-in

I don’t know your environment but the small gas struts used to open the lift gate on my Subaru Forester will certainly satisfy your load requirements. And they will operate outdoors in all kinds of weather. A pair costs about $100.
