What's the conspiracy theory link between Zionism and the Holocaust?

Asked by luigirovatti (2836points) October 17th, 2022

If I refer in any way to Holocaust denial, that’s not my intention. I fully believe the Holocaust is real, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a link between this and Zionism. Perhaps Eustace Mullins might clarify it a bit (unless he IS a Holocaust denier, I didn’t read his books yet)?

Less than you would think.

Zionism was an active movement going back to 1896 (Herzl) and was helped by the Balfour declaration in 1917.

Holocaust (and Naziism) date back to the 1933 or so, post-WW1.

I can’t speak to the conspiracy theory, but history is history and provable.

Can someone explain this to me? Why would there be a link between Zionism and the Holocaust?

They both involve Jews.

I would like the OP to offer some clarification as to what the conspiracy theory might be. Certainly the Holocaust had an impact on the need to establish the State of Israel as an independent country in 1948 but Zionism existed before that and in no way was the cause of the Holocaust.

The fake “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” described a Jewish plan/conspiracy for world domination, and is one of the main reasons why “Jewish Conspiracy” beliefs are omnipresent around the world, and was therefore one of the main drivers for the Holocaust.

So basically, this “Jewish Conspiracy” is used as a justification for the Holocaust.

And I am sure there are plenty of chucklefucks out there, that believe that the Holocaust itself was a “Jewish Conspiracy”, so that they could get their own country, by either causing the Holocaust, or by faking/exaggerating it, tying it neatly into all too prevalent Holocaust Denial.

And our word of the day is chucklefucks.

Had the holocaust never happened it is doubtful whether Israel would exist but there is no “conspiracy theory link” and I’m not sure what you mean.

@flutherother That would be an interesting story line.

@ragingloli

While the Protocols of the Elders of Zion may be fake in reference to Jews, how can one argue that the principles laid out in the book are not being implemented on a global level, especially at this time? Is it the Freemasons rather than Jews carrying out these plans? Or maybe another group?
