In the documentary "Helvetica," when they are interviewing Stefan Sagmeister (approx. 50 minutes in) what are the five posters of text he has hanging on the wall behind him?

Asked by aphony (3points) September 20th, 2008

These posters seem really interesting and I’d love to get a hold of them or at least have a chance to read what they say. I did some Googling and was unsuccessful. Is there anyone out there who knows the answer?

I’m going to take really wild guess (maybe not so wild) and say that those lines of text comprise his list of “Things I have learned in my life so far”. But I think they may not be since I only know that 15–20 of those “things” actually exist. I’m really curious now! If I find out more I will get back to you!

Hi – I was curious enough to email Sagmeister’s company via their website, and they were good enough to get back to me. The posters are of Jenny Holzer’s “Truisms” ( http://mfx.dasburo.com/art/truisms.html). If you Google her, there are loads of further links.
