Do you ever feel like an outcast or are you the life of the party?

I am always the outcast.

Always a “party person” !

I’m sometimes one and sometimes the other. Depends on how confident and relaxed I feel and what the group is.

I’m usually the life of the party unless I’m having an “off day” & even then, I don’t feel like an outcast…just not as enthusiastic as normal!!!

Depends on the group.

I used to be very shy and was often the outcast or the wallflower at the party. Then I realized how much of life I was missing and got over my shyness. I won’t say I was ever the life of the party, but I will say at this point, I’ve never met a stranger. I can talk to anyone.

Like @chyna, depend on the party. I had the misfortune to be forced into parties that I wanted no part of. At those parties I just wanted to be as invisible as possible and hoped the party would end soon. It would actually be a blessing that no one paid attention to me, otherwise I would have to deal with awkward socialization and intolerable people.

The parties that I choose to go to, I am like fish in the water.

It all depends on the situation. It’s ok to be either.

I don’t know that I’m the life of the party, but I usually get people laughing. I love making people laugh and always have, even as a child and even at my own expense.

It’s kind of strange because I was leery of all people for many years, to the point of avoiding social situations at all costs – shoot, I avoided any situation that would put me with people. I even got a scratchy voice for a number of months because the only people I had any contact with were store clerks. When I tell someone that now they find it hard to believe.
