Did you know that Gordon Moore died March 24th, 2023? He was 94 years old?

He worked for Intel computer company. He created Moore’s law, decades ago. That predicted that computer chips would double in density every 18 months to 2 years.

I am so glad you explained who he was, because I did not know his first name. I am familiar with Moore’s Law. I did not know he died. Well, I do now.

I had no idea who he was, but thank you for telling us. Was he right about the computer chip thing?

@RayaHope Yes for decades. It’s having to go sub-atomic to continue.

Can’t say that I’ve heard of him.
Maybe when I croak somebody will remember that I created Johnston’s Law, which states that “Murphy’s Law is ALWAYS in effect and it can affect YOU.” (It was created for all of those people who go through life acting like Murphy’s Law doesn’t affect them.)

Thanks for this post. Co-founder of microchip pioneer Intel, actually, and CEO for years. Here’s NPR’s obituary: https://www.npr.org/2023/03/25/1166050071/intel-gordon-moore-dies-94
