Or if you have written a book what was the subject about? Would it be fiction or nonfiction. Children’s book or technical?

I attempted to write one called Afternoon Rebecca. It was about the bullpen catcher of a minor league softball team; her life, career, loves, etc., as we navigate through a season. It was called Afternoon Rebecca because the team had so little money they couldn’t afford to pay for lights being on during games so they could only play Afternoon games. I didn’t get too far as I didn’t know much what to do with Rebecca, let alone her coaches and teammates.

Yes, I know there are no professional minor league softball players, which is why it would have been in the fiction section.

I’ve had this idea for a screenplay for years that revolves around a rural town in the Southern US on New Year’s Eve of Y2K. It follows several members of a church that have gathered for a midnight, outdoor mass around a bonfire who are convinced that the moment the clock strikes twelve, the world would end and they’d all go to heaven. Not to spoil things, but the world doesn’t end at midnight… It’s a dark comedy that takes some cues from Napoleon Dynamite, but also has some more serious, bleak tones to it as well (similar to parts of Breaking Bad).

Maybe one day I’ll get around to finishing it.

The title would be, “The Cooky Jar”.
It’s a story of deceit, greed surrounding an apparent building and the convoluted series of unfortunate circumstances that fueled it all.
Including such actors as an unscrupulous brother in law, a twisted judge, and attorneys that play a fixed game. The only winners are the attorneys. In the end nothing is left of the apartment but shafted suckers.

@Dig_Dug Or a female version of The Bad News Bears. In this, Rebecca was to meet a guy before the season started so was her juggling softball, a budding relationship, friendship, and whatever. Never got past chapter 2 as I just didn’t know what to do with these characters. Maybe never being in that field, or not being a gal, hindered my creativity.

Probably a novel of historical fiction, or a gum shoe detective novel. Complete with trench coat and fedora.

I am currently working on a fictional book about the American Revolution. Long story short, it’s about two people who are on the totally different sides of the war and manage to get close to each other. I’m done with the rough outline and now I’m trying to find any error to fix.

I think I’d write a book about epilepsy but write it for children to understand. Not so technical and more about how it feels when the seizures begin to hit like they do for me. I would try to do research with others to get their take on the experiences they have and put all that in a way that younger adults could understand.

@RayaHope Do that! I happen to know many Girl Scouts will earn their Silver and Gold Awards doing similar projects. This is something you definitely need to seriously consider doing.

@Dig_Dug not really. They were forced to be with each other due to some strange circumstances, and for a large section of the story they are only with each other because they need something from each other to fullfil their own psychological problems. There is also the town they are in which is hungry for one of the characters’ blood and is just waiting for a chance to jump on it.
