red wine or sak? is preferred 9 months of the year. In Summertime, tho, I love to enjoy seasonal beers and mixed drinks like gin & tonic, mojito, tropicals with flavored rums. Any more suggestions before this wonderful season comes to a close???

Maker's and ginger ale, with orange garnish.

I'm also a big fan of sangria which I make tons of. I've modified the recipe but I just throw about 3 bottles of Charles Shaw Cabernet, about 6 shots of brandy, about 6-8 shots of light rum and about 4 shots of triple sec into a punch bowl or sun tea jug. Then I add a container of chopped strawberries, some sliced apple, pear, blood oranges and whatever other citrus fruit looks good and stir it all up. Then I let it hang out in the fridge for a few hours before serving. It's really yummy and perfect for picnics or dinner parties.

sangria is delicious, but i have never made it. a malibu pineapple is pretty tasty (shot of malibu rum in a short glass of pineapple juice). and i enjoy a Jungle Jack Hanna
(“orange vodka, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and a splash of 7up, served tall and garnished with a live tiger* (*when in stock))” at the tiptop kitchen and cocktail in columbus, oh. but nothing beats a cold beer after a hard day!

GrĂ¼ner Veltliner or Tequila.

There is no single favorite – it depends on the time of day, the occasion and the company. It can vary from nice red wine, to a wonderful beer to a gin and tonic, well-made margarita, or some other cocktail. However, fresh ingredients for cocktails make all the difference in the world and would prefer drinks that are made with homemade ingredients to those using excessive amounts of soda.
