I missed the beginning of the debate and I thought I heard something about that.

Yep. He said that…to the “Who would you appoint as Treasury secretary” Q.

Okay, that’s what I thought. I don’t agree with that…

Obama thought it might be a dandy idea too….

Obama is much more likely to choose Buffett. Out of curiosity, why are you opposed to the idea?

Wondering the same thing.

He didn’t say he would appoint him, just that he’d be a good choice. He also said the president(?) of E-Bay would be a good choice. He really didn’t answer.

Why would Warren Buffet accept that job? He’s got enough to do.

@ lefteh: As much as I admire Warren Buffet and would love to have him advise me, I don’t feel that his mentality is quite fitted to this particular position, nor do I feel that he would even enjoy it. He enjoys his small town and doing what he does best, not so much the politics that this position is laden with.

I don’t think Warren Buffet would accept this position. I am sure that he would have to put his stuff in some kind of blind trust/management.
Why would WB want the job?

Snoopy: I agree. He doesn’t really have a reason to take it… Well, as far as I can see.
