Have you ever heard of Matthew Jay?

He was an English musician that released one album before his death in 2003. He has been compared to Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley, and is one of my favorite artists. His music has seen me through some of my darkest days, and yet he will never get the fame he deserves.

He would be 30 today.

I hope some of you already know of him, and also that some of you get to know him now. The album you should purchase is Draw, and all the proceeds go to either site maintenance (it is run by his parents) or UNICEF.

I’ll definitely check that out. I like both Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley, so I can’t see why I wouldn’t enjoy Matthew Jay.
