Snuff films?

Asked by Fallenangel (260points) October 12th, 2008

I’ve heard about this kinda stuff, and I happened across one or two of them in my day, but I didn’t know what to think. Are they real or fake?

do not know and I would rather not find out for sure, I know they did a CSI episode about this though

The more unprofessional they appear to be, the greater the likelihood that they are real. (I saw some shown in a courtroom, one time, in my capacity as a law enforcement officer.)

I would avoid watching any such video, unless it was done by a major motion picture studio.

They’re illegal to even watch correct?

This is going to bug me for the rest of my life XD

The REAL ones are illegal, unless they are first shown on the 11 PM News.

Ever hear of Faces of Death?

When the movie Cannibal Holocaust came out, it was believed that it was really a snuff film and the director had killed all the actors. He actually had them sign a contract to not appear in any films or commercials for a year after the movie was released to make it seem even more real. This backfired on him and was arrested for the murder of the actors and had to get them all to appear and void the contracts to avoid life in prison.
