The song in the car chase scene in 5th Element?

Asked by pointy (7points) October 13th, 2008

When Leelu first falls into Corbin Dallas’ roof, he gets chased around by the Police for refusing to give her away. While he’s escaping from them, a song plays in the background that sounds like it’s of Middle Eastern origin – reminding me a little bit of the ilk of Amr Diab. The song isn’t on the Official Soundtrack – I’ve checked. Does anyone know what the song is, and/or where to find it?

As found on the wiki

Much of the film’s score, composed by Éric Serra, shows an influence of Middle Eastern music, particularly Raï. The music used for the taxicab chase scene, titled “Alech Taadi” by Algerian performer Khaled, is excluded from the film soundtrack, but it is available on Khaled’s album N’ssi N’ssi.
