Strip iTunes video DRM?

Asked by blastfamy (2174points) October 15th, 2008

Googling comes up with converters that either cost a whole lot, or degrade the quality of the video.

I need to import a music video I bought from the iTs into Premiere. Understandably, this is verboten under the DRM-as-is. Does anybody know of a program (it must be free) that will strip the DRM w/o degrading the video?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Oh, and just to clarify, the use of the video has already been covered under fair use…

Sorry… I’ve never used the iTunes Store. I’m guessing this means that there is a watermark or password protecting the video? I’m going to hunt around a bit…

Hahaha! Have you seen this?

It looks pretty rough for you, bud. Are you looking for Windows or Mac software?

You could always track down the vid online and rip it. Definite quality loss, though.

I can use either Windows or mac software (I have the hardware for both). Thanks for the help…
