ya its all filled that i know of. but how do u check to make sure?

Nimis's avatar

If it’s an old Zippo, I’d check the flint.

tocutetolive90's avatar

He said it was brand new, but he didn’t need it

AstroChuck's avatar

I, to, meant, light, won’t.

tocutetolive90's avatar

Huh? Do they sell them without fluid in it? He claims he never used it.

richardhenry's avatar

When new, Zippos don’t contain lighter fluid. You need to fill them. Take a look at the instruction card, which details how to do that.

i have dyslexia

EnzoX24's avatar

No, she really does have dyslexia and I don’t take kindly to people making fun of her for it.

AstroChuck's avatar

How does that explain the misspellings?
Who’s making fun of someone with dyslexia?

tocutetolive90's avatar

dyslexia i cant spell things. i took me a year to be able to spell first right. i have a really bad case of it. i see words think there right when they arent

AstroChuck's avatar

I apologize for questioning your sincerity. I always thought that dyslexia only applied to reading issues. After reading more about it online I see there are also problems with spelling.
I wasn’t making fun of dyslexic people, however.

this thread has made my head hurt….Hahaha.

Pull out on the metal piece in the middle, the one with the turn wheel. Unscrew the bottom part and check the flint. Then very carefully fill the cotton piece up with lighter fluid. Replace the piece and then walk away for about 5 mins. Then return with some Night Ranger on a 45 and prepare to rocknroll baby, rocknroll!!!

ya it can affect witting, reading, and sometimes math. i can trouble with fractions i flip them around and will do the math problem totally backwards. and when i take tests i will take out words or put in words. it doesnt go well. lol.

ya we figured it out, it aint filled. grr!! lol

Math issues are, I believe, called “discalculia and illegible handwriting “disgraphia.”

Me, I get lost all the time. That’s “disorientation.”

One of my step sons had dislexia and disgraphia, but a photographic memory if he heard the info. After listening to a Bill Cosby routine, my step could repeat almost the whole thing back verbatim.

tocutetolive90's avatar

ya. theres all different names. its just easier to put it all under dyslexia rather then have to explain every name. lol

MacBean's avatar

Yeah, issues with numbers are called discalculia. I have that. I’m crap at math even though I understand it in theory, and it’s not the best idea to trust phone numbers that you get from me.

lol ya. you get it when u hear it, but then u write it down and then look at it later and be like wait is that right
